Luxury Events 2015

This year, Fort Lauderdale, FL has a ton of great events going on for the whole family. Seminole Indian events, a Gun and Knife Show, the famed Lauderdale Air and Sea Show rises from hiatus, this year is going to be incredible. Take a private jet to one of the boat shows, or even join the Seminole Hard Rock Boat parade at the end of the year. You won’t find anything like these events this year.

March 2015

St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival

This year’s celebration of everything Irish is going to be better than ever. What’s become the most aniticpated event in Fort Lauderdale, FL is the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival. The anticipation is well deserved, with a fun parade, live music, delicious food, and an assortment of wonderful entertainment during the festival. There is no admission fee, just come on down and enjoy the celebration.

Big Cypress Shootout

(March 13th ? 15th, 2015)

At Billie Swamp Safari, the Seminole Tribe of Florida reenacts the Second Seminole War. Known as the ?Big Cypress Shootout,? the renactment depicts the battle between Seminole Indians and American soldiers fighting over the Seminole’s homeland. This renactment takes place to honor the Seminole’s struggle and sacrifice during the bloodshed. This is a 3-day event, and features music, food, activities, shows, crafting and trading demonstrations, alligator wrestling, and an archery competition.

Bank of America Wine and culinary Celebration

(April 3rd ? 4th, 2015)

At the Museum of Discovery and Science, guests will be entertained and educated by a showcase of spirits, wines, and beers, each paired with delectable foods to dazzle one’s tastebuds. The food samples are the highlights of nearly 50 leading restaurants in South Florida, and the spirits will be provided by Southern Wine and Spirits. Enjoy a great night, and give your tongue a taste of something new.

Ocean Fest's 11th Anniversary

For the past 11 years, Fort Lauderdale, FL has sponsored the Ocean Fest Dive and Adventure Sports Expo on Fort Lauderdale Beach. The festival puts on shows and demonstrations of dive-related activities, and plenty of vendors are abound to cook up and serve tasty food. There will be over 150 dive and adventure exhibits at the festival, along with free seminars, raffles, a silent auction, an underwater treasure hunt, and other prize giveaways.

Fort Lauderdale Gun and Knife Show

(April 25th ? 26st, 2015)

At the War Memorial Auditorium, gun collectors, traders, hunters, and enthusisasts all meet up at the Fort Lauderdale Gun Show this April. A large selection of guns, accesssories, and rare items will be put on exhibit by dealers and private collectors during the event. For anyone looking to make a purchase, transactions at the show are cash only.

Las Olas Wine and Food Festival

For twenty years, Las Olas has been bringing exotic pairings of food and wine to the people of Fort Lauderdale. It all started on the sidewalks of Las Olas, but quickly poured out onto the streets. Now, roads are closed off for all to enjoy this event in its twentieth year. More than 2,000 people turned up last year, to enjoy the food of 70 of South Florida’s finest, and over 40 wines, spirits, and micro brews. This year, the ever-growing in popularity “Fork and Balls,” is the featured restaurant.

McDonald's Air and Sea Show

(May 2nd ? 3rd, 2015)

This year, the sight and sound of freedom is brought back to the Fort Lauderdale skies. One of the largest aviation events at Fort Lauderdale beach, the nation’s top pilots and performers race through the skies in U.S. AirForce Thunderbirds. The show has been grounded for the past several years, but this year, the birds return to the sky once more.

Stonewall Street Festival and Parade

This year, Fort Lauderdale’s popular Gay Pride parade will be taking place in Wilton Manors. Ever growing in popularity, the festival has been known to bring over 10,000 people of all sexual preferences to the event. Performances on three different stages will be featured, as well as a marketplace for food vendors, the sale of arts and crafts, and more. This year, the parade has announced an effort to break the Guinness Book of World Record for longest line of dancing drag queens – 144 men in drag.

36th Annual Bank of America Starlight Musicals

(June 6th ? August 1st, 2015)

This year, the 36th year of Starlight Musical concert series continues. These are a great way to enjoy the summer with friends and family, and a chance to get together every Friday to enjoy a free outdoor concert. The concerts are performed by bands covering country, pop, alternative rock, rhythm and blues, and more.

This year, at Fort Lauderdale Beach, a celebreation of freedom starts at 4pm. Celebrate the independence of America with beach games, contents, and live entertainment. Then, watch a spectacular display of pyrotechnics and explosions.

Halloween Spooktacular

This year, Halloween is being celebrated in the Weston Town Center of Fort Lauderdale. Great for families, a free costume contest is being hosted, and a live DJ will be performing. For the kids, there will be face painting, a bounce house, and trick-or-treating.

Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade

Knowns as Florida’s most popular boat parade, Christmas is celebrating by decoriating over 100 boats with Christmas lights and other items of illumination. Then, the boats sail down the Intracoastal Waterway in one brightly colored parade. This isn’t just a parade though, it’s a contest. All boat owners who join have the chance to win an award for having the most fantastically ddecorated boat. If you would like to enter and want help in decorating your boat for the parade, there are professional decorators available.
